CERAMICS Students in the ceramics program receive individualized instruction in both wheelthrown and hand-built ceramic construction. The curriculum also offers experience in oxidation, reduction, wood, Raku, and salt firing processes. A large patio area outside the studio is furnished with three updraft, a downdraft, wood and salt kilns. Adjacent to the main studio is a well equiped glaze room, clay mixing/storage room, a damp room and ample storage. The studio is equiped with 18 electric wheels, a Brent slab roller, two extruders, a ball mill, two pugmills, and a clay mixer.
