MSU Singers

We are glad you are interested enough to look at us and hope you will consider us when you make a choice for continuing your education in music, or for continuing your participation in music, whatever is your interest.

If you are considering a career in music, the Department of Music at MSU offers the Bachelor of Music in Voice, Keyboard or Instrumental Performance, and the Bachelor of Music in Vocal, Keyboard or Instrumental with Teacher Certification, and the Bachelor of Arts in Music. Our instrumental and choral ensembles offer the music major and non-major alike a rich musical experience.

Hardin Administration BuildingThe facilities housing the Department of Music include the recently renovated Akin Auditorium Recital Hall, and the Band Hall, completed in 2010, and the Fain College of Fine Arts is looking forward to the new music facility of 15,000 square feet currently being planned. A wealth of musical activities are available in Wichita Falls, including the Wichita Falls Symphony Orchestra, several theater companies, and a side variety of concert opportunities, including the acclaimed Music Series at Akin, a series that brings world class concert performers to the stage in Akin.

The Department of Music at Midwestern State University offers personal instruction with highly qualified faculty, small class sizes and individualized instruction in a liberal arts college setting.

The MSU Department of Music is a member of The National Association of Schools of Music & The Texas Association of Music Schools.
