Midwestern State University is a state-supported liberal arts university in Wichita Falls, Texas, approximately two hours northwest of Dallas-Ft. Worth. With over 6,000 students, Midwestern State University has a beautiful campus in the heart of Wichita Falls. The MSU webpage is located at Midwestern State University. The Midwestern State University Music Department is a fully-accredited member of the National Association of Schools of Music and is a division of the Lamar D. Fain College of Fine Arts. The Fain Fine Arts Building is a large, state-of-the-art facility which houses Theatre, Art, Mass Communication, and Music. With nine full-time and seven adjunct faculty, the music department strives to offer all students numerous opportunities for musical involvement. Music students may earn a Bachelor of Music degree with a major in performance or with teacher certification. Performance ensembles at MSU include University Singers, Midwestern Singers, Oratorio Chorus, Opera Workshop, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Marching Band, Basketball Pep Band, Jazz Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, and Winterguard.
