An actor cannot appreciate the work of the theatrical designer or technician unless he has studied and tried his hand at their crafts. Likewise, a theatre designer or technician can better appreciate the whole production process if he has had experience performing and directing. This is a basic tenet of the theatre program at Midwestern State University. While the program is broad enough to cover all areas of the discipline, it is specialized enough to serve the individual needs of each student and to provide in-depth involvement in the area of choice.
